Chapter History

Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. - Sigma Iota Zeta Chapter was chartered in the year 2001 in Reynoldsburg, Ohio.  The Charter members are Marian D. Hann (D), Barbara Hartgrove-Holley, Isi Ikharebha, Bessie King-Jackson (D), Garlena Jackson, and Danita Taylor.

Since its inception the chapter has continued to positively impact the community of Reynoldsburg, Ohio and surrounding areas with informative programming focused on health, education, youth development and empowerment as well as social justice. The chapter is continuously driven to uphold and uplift the sorority’s principles of scholarship, service, finer womanhood and sisterhood.

Sigma Iota Zeta Chapter currently maintains all auxiliary groups- Amicae, Archonettes, Amicettes and Pearlettes. We strive to provide positive role models and opportunities to young ladies in the community as well as provide women the avenue to come together in the name of Zeta, as a friend to Zeta.

Along with Zeta’s national programs and initiatives, SIZ proudly commits itself to local volunteer work and projects. Some organizations that we have come to work with are Ronald McDonald House, Mid-Ohio Food Bank, Columbus Zoo and Aquarium, Central Ohio March of Dimes and COSI.
